Publisher Analytics Overview

LiveIntent’s Publisher Analytics is a comprehensive reporting tool for publishers to track their ad inventory performance. With Publisher Analytics, you can see key metrics like adjusted impressions, clicks, and revenue, alongside channel-specific, advertiser-type, and device-type performance breakdowns, all in one place. You can access the Publisher Analytics tools via the App Switcher menu in the Portal UI.  If you cannot view these links please contact your dedicated LiveIntent team member.

Publisher Dashboard

When you access the Publisher Dashboard, your account name will be pre-populated inside the Media Group dropdown. For users with multiple accounts, choose the account you’d like to view from this dropdown. Use the publisher dropdown if you’d like to see a more granular breakdown or a specific subset of publishers within your account. This will allow you to see your ad performance data in the context of your chosen media group and publisher.

Once you have chosen your media group and publisher, select the timeframe for which you want to see your data. Use standard timeframes like day, week, and month or choose a custom timeframe. Because Publisher Analytics displays adjusted impressions, you can pull data as far back as April 2022.

 

Metrics Breakdown

The Publisher Dashboard provides insight into key metrics like adjusted impressions, clicks, and revenue. A summary of these metrics is displayed at the top of the page, with channel-specific, advertiser-type, and device-type performance breakdowns as you move downward.

When looking at your channel breakdown, your Direct and House Sold adjusted eCPM and revenue may be inaccurate as it is derived from your manual inputs. Your Advertiser Category and Device Performance will only populate with data from inventory that has run on the LiveIntent exchange and may display as “Uncategorized” if querying data prior to October of 2022.

 

Inventory Analysis

Dive into specific ad inventory by clicking the Inventory Analysis hyperlink from the left navigation (located under the Reporting tab). On load, the page will pre-populate with your account data. If you’d like to drill down to compare select templates, publishers, or ad slots, use the optional category filters to focus on the data that matters most to you.

 

Comparing Data Rows

Compare up to five selected entities from the table in our customized graph. For instance, if you have enabled all category splits, such as publisher, newsletter, ad slot, and demand type, the table will display a concatenated view of all categories in the row. Specifically, the row will show the ad slot, and demand type (ad slot ->demand type) to provide a more granular comparison. Click on the rows (up to 5) you would like to compare to see them populate inside the graph.
